San Diego Botanical Gardens
July 30, 2020
I helped start an urban sketching group in North County which ended up having about 10-12 people in it. Patti joined and my first trip to the San Diego Botanical Garden was with this group. We were all masked because it was early days of Covid What a beautiful place! Trails wind through flanked by indigenous plants, trees, and flowers. My favorite spot is a pond full of koi with lily pads floating on top like crowning jewels if color. It's a peaceful quiet spot tucked into a little forested area. I don't remember if I painted anything that day or if Patti and I just assumed through. I bought a season pass to come back but Covid had already started in March. Covid got worse and the park shut down for a while. That's ended up being one of only two times I went. The second was with Dwight.
